Hi, New to the thread, but, so far have 2800 miles on 2003 4Runnger SR5 and have no problems except one. When I come to a stop or start from a stop there is a light thump from the rear. It is like a backlash in the transmission system or maybe brake related. Anyone else notice this? Or am I being picky.

Harris
Harris, Tripitz mentioned a similar symptom on his '03 SE V-8, but don't know if he's found a fix yet. I've not noticed anything like it. It's a long shot, but have you checked that the spare tire, tool kit and jack are all mounted securely? I noticed when removing my spare that it was *slightly* loose in it's cradle and if much looser could possibly make the sound you describe.

Glad to read this. Mine came from the dealer at 40ff/rr, and when I saw the placard say 32ff/rr, I dropped the pressure to 35 to see what it felt and handled like.

I agree--40 felt a lot better.
