Question Question about Supra engine
Ok so is the 7MGTE engine the first gen or 2nd? I was just looking at Supra motors and read about a 2JZGTE engine. Which model is the 2nd gen motor? Thanks.

the 2jz motor is from the most recent supras 93.5-98, the other is obviously the older motor. Also I believe there are 4 generations of Supras, starting with the mki celica supra.

The 2J is the 4th gen motor. As far as I know noone has swapped it into a 4Runner. It is also around $3k+, compared to under $1k for the 7MGTE.....

The 5MGE would be the 2nd Gen Supra motor. It was never offered in Turbo trim in the States. It is also around 2600cc's.
