Question about Sliders?
I was wondering if the Stubbs sliders require you to cut the pinch weld as required with the install of Trailgear sliders? I couldn't find any install info in referernce to the Stubbs sliders. I guess Sonoran is the only place selling them now.

What wabbit said is true. I have a set of stubbs on my 4runner and the pinch weld didn't need to notched. I order mine directly from Richard (if i remember his name right). Just tell him what length you want, if you have the factory fender flares and if you want the kick out.

That's what I thought. I was just looking into buying some off someone "marketplace" and I just wanted to make sure they'll fit properly. I think I'm going to pass. Good deal if your close to PA, on a pair of SKO's from Stubbs. Thanks for your help!

Yea, definately make sure that when you do your install, they are at leat a 1/4'' below the pinch weld. They mounted mine flush with it, now they bash against the pinch weld when I hit bumps. Once I put my body lift on it'll go away, buts its really annoying

i cut the pinch weld on mine and i would do it again to any sliders i would install. i would because its easy to build the sliders stronger with the addition of a piece of flat bar welded to the frame for renforcement + gussets. its true you can do this without cutting out the pinch weld. i just think its that much stronger if you do it that way and can mount the tube a bit higher on the flat bar. than at the bottom of the frame. if that doesnt make sence ill post some pics tommorow to show you an example why i did
