Question Question about needles on indiglo gauges...

Hey all,
I just had a quick question. Do indiglo gauges come with the needles? Is there any way of making the needles blue?

That's it. Have fun.

You re-use factory needles. You don't even remove them for gauge install. I don't know of anyway to make them blue. But why would you....you wouldn't see them against the blue gauges at night

Ok. That's what I thought. I guess I'll hold off on the blue needles until I get some indiglo (or is it indigo or indiglow? ) gauges. I'll go from there and see if I should do the blue needles.

Thanks, have fun.

Are those reverse indiglo gauges? Look great. I'll see if I can find some on ebay cheaper.

Have fun.

I got my revese indiglos on Ebay. They were like $60 or close to it. Just type in Toyota Reverse Indiglo and search for them. Goodluck! :fireman:

I don't think that is possible. I believe that indiglo light can only be in a green and blue hue. Gold may heat up and that is not what an indiglo light does. The key to an indiglo light is that there is no heat at all. I just don't think it is possible. But I may be wrong! :fireman:

Amber

I thought I saw gauge faces with glowing flames on them somewhere - that's why I thought it might be do-able. I've always kind of liked amber gauges, plus the CB I'm looking at has amber lighting.

Amber Tint

I was just combing the web since my last post (1h 20m) and I only found one page that had a pic of silver faces with amber glo. Nothing for 2nd Gens anywhere. I'm beginning to think the guy making those Halo reverse glows has the market cornered...

My vac gauge has a blue needle. It glows a different shade of blue at night...EZ to see. Although not a true Indiglo, the blue numbers light up via a blue condom'ed 194 bulb. It would be nice if the needles could be made blue to match the Indiglo faces. My orange stock needles look dark against the full Indiglo face I have now...
