Question Question about CB install...

Okay, so I showed everyone my pictures of it mounted. Today I decided to acually connect everything! It all went well, I just powered it with my Cig Lighter because it is dissconected anyway. Then ground it on the stereo mount. But my question lies within the coax. I really had no idea of how to hook the wires up to the antenna. I mean I know how, but which goes where. The coax has two wires sticking out, one white, one black. I figured the black one was the ground, so I ground it to at little extra screw on the side of the mount. And I connected the white to the antenna...Sorry for my ignorance, but is this right? The CB is powered and everything, but I have no idea if I am getting reception or not...Thanks for any help!

Interesting antenna cable. That doesn't really sound like coaxial cable?!? Coax cable normally has a copper wire in the center (for the signal), some insulation around it, then a wire mesh (ground) and then the outer insulation. TV antenna cable is coax. This page has a picture.
