Question for the '03 guys/gals...

Does anybody have that bar on the front bumper. They call it "Bumper Trim" but I would just call it a push bar. If so, would you say it is worth $500? Does it have any tabs to mount lights?

I don't have it on mine, but I saw it in the dealer. It doesn't have tabs to mount lights. Not sure i would really call it a push bar, im not even sure its that strong. As far as being worth $500, i don't know, im not sure its incredibly usefull, its just a cosmetic thing as far as I can tell. If you want something to put lights on, I wouldn't use that.

That's what I figured. I hadn't seen one in person, so I couldn't tell how substantial it really was and if it had tabs. It looks kinda cool, but not sure if it looks "$500" cool.

yea, thats it...im not sure its $500 though....i saw it on another limited similiar to the one I got and the sticker was not $500 more, it was at most $60 more. It may be that expensive if you buy it afterwards...but i might be wrong.

 $60....I could do that easy, but I don't think I can see $500.

im not sure of the exact price with the car...all i know is i saw 2 limiteds, with just about the same options, only difference would be minor things like wheel locks, and one had the sport trim, the other didn't...i bought the other cause it was silver..

Besides that Safari Bar the guy posted the pictures of the other day, has anybody seen any other front bars? I love the one on the 4Runner picture at the top of this page. I also realize that there just isn't a huge selection for us yet, since the truck is so new.

The was a brush guard on a sport @ the dealership a month and one half ago.

I dunno what brand, but it was ugly as sin. It looked like the typical bar, but it didn't extend above the bumper and it was sort of raked. It looked REALLY bad, really cheesy, and really cheap.

I will have a "Jaos" bar soon for the '03 4Runner.

When it comes out, I will let you all know.

Hehe, unfotunately that is true.

JAOS is like buying your wife pearls but they are not real pearls yet they are more expensive than real pearls.

When I have more info, I will pass it along.

I want an ARB, but I don't want the weight or replacing the OEM bumper. The JAOS is cool, but $1300, jeez, I could buy a really trick TV for that (which I would get more use out of.)
