Put my DP on my Kennesaw Mountain Accessories rear bumper last night!

I've been talking with Kyle at Kennesaw Mountain Accessories for several months and have read numerous threads about their products. I've heard rave and not so rave reviews on their quality so I was up in the air. However, after talking with Kyle for several months I feel confident I'll get a quality product and I feel good about what to expect from him. He hasn't hesitated to answer any question no matter how small or mondain it may appear and has always responded in a very timely fashion. He's also agreed to send me pics of the fab process so I can post them up here as he goes.

I'll be sure to keep this thread updated with comments and pics and write a review of the final product. Please don't judge this place yet unless you've had an experience personally, I haven't. I feel I've researched them enough and feel good about sending the deposit, I'll find out in about 4-5 weeks if it was worth it or not.

Jason

Good luck, I always had good contact too...for 8-12 weeks. What options did you get? Make sure you ask what exactly the licence plate mount is and if the swing arm has a lockout to keep it from crushing your rear corner.

Oh yeah, if you can get the bumper shipped to a distribution facility it'll save on shipping too!

Wow, they look great and are very reasonably priced. I may get just the basic bumper with hitch and shackle mounts.

Hope it turns out well for you. I had to look it up and ask a few questions.. but sadly.. their rear bumper won't work for my use.

The one I ordered is identical to the black 3rd gen on their webpage. Can't freaking wait!

This one I assume:

Looks good. IMO, I'd like to see the receiver hitch mount molded into the bumper, not below it.

x2, it does look good for the $ though! could always put the receiver in after you get it...probably wouldn't be too hard for the average joe (note, me<average joe)

One more thing, you also need to look into plating your frame from the rear axle and back for reinforcement purposes. With the added weight of a custom rear bumper, plus the weight of a full size spare hanging off it, your frame is going to need some more bracing to handle the extra load.

If you'd like, I'll link a UY thread relating to this very subject.
