Put my DP on my Kennesaw Mountain Accessories rear bumper last night!

we got to the point that if we called him any more to push on getting the bumpers, he would send us garbage knowing we could not do anything about it. as it was only one went on without a design flaw (out of three ordered). i will say the bumpers look so much better then stock and work as they should on the trail.

He got ignorant with me when I reminded him of the time line he gave me but we worked through it. I haven't had a chance to test mine on the trail yet and with work not sure I will ever get to. The only thing I would have done different is to move it closer to the vehicle than where we have it now. I also think he should work on maybe pre-wiring it for the license plate mount when you purchase that option. I still have to wire mine.

Long awaited pic, sorry y'all. The night pics of the install didn't turn out for crap.

Driver side, we should have moved it closer to the body and may if I don't end up having to sell it if I get laid off.

Looks good. Glad to hear you got it on finally. now all you got to do is clean up that spare tire
. sorry to hear that you might be getting laid off and have to sell that thing after all the hassel you went through. that would suck that you only get to enjoy it for a short time.

terminator, the bumper looks good man!!
I always wonder how that plastic licence plate holder was suppose to go on?
I threw that thing away 'cause I didnt' understand how it went.

That's why I threw it away and mounted the plate on the jerry can rack(I have duals for SOME reason...
) and then bolted the light on. I drilled a small hole all the way at the end by the pivot and ran wire thru the beam out thru the holes on the end where the latch is. It was easier than I thought and I used a clothes hanger to fish out the wire. I think I scavenged power off the tail lights(which makes sence so that light comes on when you turn the park lights on)??
So, yeah, once again I got screw over by KMA on THAT deal!! LOL!!!

So I ordered a KMA multicarrier and requested similar changes like flush receiver hitch, driver side swingout. It's due to arrive by october (cross my fingers). Anyways I went to try and remove my stock receiver hitch on my 4runner and for the life of me could not get the bolts holding it to the frame to budge. They are not rusted at all. Did you have alot of problems getting the bolts to budge, I'm guessing a breaker bar would really help. So did you guys have problems life this? did you remove the tire carrier to reduce weight?

Did you soak down the bolts with a penetrant??? Like PB Blaster?Oh, hope you get your bumper in OCT, good luck with that.

October, I hope you get it then but doubt it. As for the hitch, you're better off getting somebody that can heat the bolts up and use an impact. A breaker did nothing for me, had to cut them off. Had I waited though, or the guy that offered me help did, we would have met up with another local who would have been a better help. I have strong feelings against sending KMA ANY business b/c of the issues I had to deal with though they're all nearly fixed now. Still, Kyle is a complete jerk once he has his money and owning up to any difficulties.

Man y'all have me worried now! I too researched KMA and spoke with the dreaded "Kyle" and like you all, liked the price and the product. I ordered it at the end of March and it hasn't come yet. Granted it hasn't quite been 3 months which isn't bad considering the 6 months you have mentioned...but it's still a heck of a lot longer than the 6-8 weeks he told me it would take!

Well I got my KMA on tuesday, installed it wednesday, and am still making a few finishing touches. I didn't have nearly the nightmare you all had installing it. A friend of mine and I got the stock bumper off and the new one on in about 4 hours. The brackets are sturdy, and the bumper is hefty. So far everything is working out.
Now, its not a perfect fit. But let me explain why. Like we've all read, there is no cross bracing on the rear of the 3rd gens frame. So while they're being driven around the rears are swaying and flexing and ultimately settling down in a position other than stock. Why I can't hardly blame Kyle for the not perfect fit is because when he took his measurements for these bumpers it was on someone elses runner which is different than my own, and yours, and his, and theirs. So it took some pounding and forcing and manipulating to get the thing on but with some quick machining its problem solved. Other than that I've got to give a thumbs up to the product as a whole at this point. Kyle is still a jerk though and it took about 5 months to get it.
