You could request a center mounted D-ring, I guess...

Hope this helps,

I had them remake the brackets, unwelded and with an extension on them to protrude past the lip on the bottom of the bumper and they should work now. I'll get pics so you all understand but with any luck we'll have this on tonight.

My major issue is that I have no fab skills yet nor equipment so if it weren't for a local guy from the ih8mud then I'd be totall screwed. Kyle did redesign the bracket for me and I think the install will go well tonight but we'll see. I have a good feeling it will be on now as long as the dude is still available tonight and the moons align and reach a perfect harmony with blah blah blah.

KMA question?

I'm becoming hesitant to deal with KMA after some of the posts here. I'm in the megotiation process with the wife about ordering KMA's front and real bumpers and we're looking at driving down from Virginia to pick them up rither than shipping them and combining that with a couple days of camping in the area. If I do this, I'll need a relativly hard and fast delivery date, since I will have to make other reservations for the trip. Any suggestions from customers on how I can avoid some of the delays in recieving a KMA product? Would a failure to perform clause in the contract help in your opinion? Thanks

Yeah, don't order from them. That's my honest opinion.

I was in VA Bch when I got mine and had them ship it to a shipping hub place(which I think was in Norfolk, but they should be able to tell you that at KMA) to save on shipping. That bumper is not going to be on the shelf and good luck getting a completion day from them A-holes. I would hit up Scotty over at Addicted Offroad (http://www.addictedoffroad.com/) for bumpers as his customer service is top notch and you'll get your stuff within a couple of weeks NOT months like KMA.

2000 4Runner huh? Hmmmm, I think that Bad Land Bumpers makes a bumper for that body style. I would search around the forums a bit more and find somewhere else to get you bumpers from.

A part of me hopes KMA gets a copy of this thread; at least then they could make up their minds about their spot in the market or to get out of the market completely.

Thanks for the help gang...

It's just sad; I grew up in my father's machine shop and know how a shop CAN be run, so it really frustrates me when a shop drops the ball so often and regularly. Even just a phone conversation or an e-mail can keep the wheels greased and avoid upset customers. It's so simple, and yet, so many don't even attempt it...

Sorry about the pics guys, I thought they were on the camera so I'll take some new ones today and post up. New issue now with work though, we're looking at layoffs so I may have to end up selling this to bring in some $.
To anybody that's wanting to order from KMA, I wouldn't do it. They talk a good talk and make you feel good about spending the $ but once you do it's a different story. I had to threaten law enforcement involvement to get them to help with the bracket issues I was having. It's on now, very sturdy but I wouldn't go through that mess again.

sorry to hear about all the trouble, but that is to be expected from kma. my brother and i had to modify a jeep bumper so much we could have (should have) built a new one from scatch. the price was attractive, we didn't have the time, and the tire carrier made it nice. ha, didn't work until it was modified. nothing can be done to get people that run business this way to clean up their act. if more people would just read these threads before jumping in and trusting a shop there would be less problems 4 to six months later.

I researched the crap out of this place, read good and bad. I spoke with them and other people for about 4 months before I placed my order. It's on and very nice but the problems with KMA's lack of customer service is why I'd never go back.
