265/75/ r16 cooper ltz

I have been running the cooper LTZ's on my 99 sr5 4runner for over 6 months and love them. They ride really quiet on the highway and trully work great in the woods and dirt roads. My only gripe is that they get small pebbles stuck in the treads and you can hear them clicking on the road until they eventually fly out and hit my truck... To avoid that I could have went with the S/T's but I like the road performance of the LTZ's much better. Also, I gave gotten lots of compliments about the tire and it makes my truck sit a little taller than it used to.

Not sure if I did an accurate chalk test, but I chalked up all 4 tires with 45psi in them and drove around a bit - maybe 20 miles.
The chalk was all gone when I got back home. So, if done correctly this tells me that I am OK with 45psi - right?
Or is a shorter distance chalk test best?

Try just around the block. You don't want to wear all the chalk off. You just want to see where it's wearing off first. 45 sounds pretty high. I bet the chalk is wearing off in the center pretty quick with that pressure. Actually thinking about it you might want to just drive straight down the street. Taking turns will affect the readings.

2 years ago, I love my yota! They handle great and ride smooth and quiet and so far I've gotten lots of compliments. Hope these pics help people make a good choice...
