Its wired the exact same way as before the only difference is the wires with the blue connectors used to be all on one terminal but i've bent the sides up too bad to reuse it and NO WHERE in town sells a ring terminal like that.

Then another wire runs to a black push button switch which is the starting wire because after I move the toggle to "on" I push the black button and it starts. I intend on buying an actual ignition switch with a key and properly fixing this but I just want to get it going for the time being. I'm going to sell this thing for around $1500 soon so I want to fix it as much as I can.

A wiring nightmare best sorted out in person by someone who lives and breathes Toyota`s

Taking this back to the stock wiring will be the best way

Get a copy of the Electrical Wiring Diagrams for this vehicle and go from there .

Impossible to guess what might have been done.

I am honestly planning on taking it back to stock and putting an actual ignition assembly on it so I'll have a key. How hard do you guys think it would be to do that given the situation I have here?

Here is a better look at where the wires go.

With the switch wired up the way I have it, when I unplug this, it shuts everything down. Could the short be in some of the rigged wires to this connector?

I have done some brutal things to meters

Just how did you break yours ??

Measuring Voltage when the Meter is set to Ohms can be interesting I am not sure if the low end Meters have a fuse .

This is what happens when the new vehicle lust hits and the brain shuts down .
I really hope you got this really cheap this push button and toggle switch would to me have dropped this vehicle to the scrap price .

Ok so I'm gonna break down and go get the stock wiring harness and the lock/cylinder and just redo everything. Hopefully I can track down my mechanic buddy and get some help from him. Thanks to all you guys who responded on both of my threads. I really appreciate it.
