Plugs for my boosted 3.4L 5VZ
What plugs do you superchager guys run (especially high boost applications). What gap are you running for 7psi 9psi ++
Im planning on 14psi intercooled eventually (starting at 7psi). I think NGK BKR7E's since they are two steps colder than stock. I may try some BKR6E's first though. propperly indexed of course. What do you guys think, what has worked for ppl running the 9psi pully on the TRD superchager?
here are some quick pics of the motor drop in. Im actually only a few days away from startup (pics are kinda old) http://bulldog.unca.edu/~jmpersek/delete.html
I have a few pics of the turbos, manifolds and transaxel assebled but they arent on my server yet.

I am guessing about .031 on the gap for 9psi right?

I'm only running just under 8 lbs of boost. I installed the plugs about 2000 miles ago and its running fine. I haven't taken them out to inspect them tho. I hope they last around 30k miles.

it shouldnt matter much, but my race car, an mr2. i use a 9 plug, which is 3steps colder than owm. if you look at the ngk number it will be something like the following:
brkes7-11
the brkes is the the designation of the plug, the 7 is the heat range of the plug. 6 is oem on the mr2's and the 11 is the gap in mm. I also close the gap on them as well/. i run them at 20-25 thou.
I ould look into something about the irridiums before using them in a force induction motor. i have heard and seen some tips gone due to turbos.
hope this helps
