pinging on acceleration

pinging on acceleration

1998 4runner 3.4l v6 76k miles: on acceleration while the truck is moving, i get pinging around half throttle, any suggestions? o2 sensor, dirty injectors, bad timing, bad gas?

Pinging is a symptom of bad gas but that's not to say that's what it is for sure.

Anything that would make the combustion chamber hotter, but on a 98 with no lean code or such, I would say bad gas.
