The "Pimp My Ride" show...
I'm just wondering if anyone has caught that show "Pimp My Ride" that comes on MTV with a blue 4runner in the back ground jacked up in the shop. its there EVERYSHOW iv seen. I think I might try to call them up and see if they can pimp that up with a nice lift/tires/wheels/and wouldnt mind all the TV's and playstations..dvd player being put in there also. I mean with all the money there spending on these POS's they could make a badass 4runner. ><

I noticed that too. I can tell just by looking at it on the lift that it will be sitting low on some dubs. They don't consider a lifted 4Runner as "pimp" I guess. They took off the license plate thingy on the tailgate and patched the opening. Weird. Cops must love that.

I'm waiting for TLC to make one of these shows. They'll do it right atleast. Tuner Creations is only 1/2 hour long and doesn't show enough of the actual modifying and what they're doing to the car, and Pimp My Ride, its MTV, and from all the previews I have seen, nothing good (read "non-bling") will come of it. Bling can be good here and there on some cars, but an 89 Corolla, or some rink dink Ford Festiva like I expect to see, should not have wheels worth more than the metal coming together to make the car.
On a side note, for those that watch "Cribs" I have yet to see a lifted truck of any kind. Its so sad that even when a rapper declares that his Chevelle 442 is his prized posession, they spend 2 seconds on it, and 30 seconds on some "pimp ride" of his... When will they learn...

The extrerior stuff on that show is alright, but the interiors are awesome. I'd love to have leather/suede with a few tvs, and they work quick too.

Hrm, a show called 'pimp my ride' on a station that calls itself Music Television.
Makes sense to me.
"C'mon guys, Hullabalooza isn't about freaks; it's about fun, and music, and youth oriented product positioning."

I've been thinking about sending them a video of my 1992 Mazda MPV. It actually looks decent so I'd have to put some dents in it first. I'd like to see it on some 18s with purple paint and purple suede! My girls says no though. We'll see.

I saw an episode for the first time yesterday. It was the Hi-jet or whatever kind of POS van the guy had. It was a Daihatsu. It was ugly to begin with, and when they were done, I couldn't believe anyone liked it. With the exception of the interior stuff (amp for the guitar, tv screens, couch) it was an absolute disgrace to 4 wheeled vehicles. With the 17's it had more ground clearance than my truck, then they go and slap a spoiler the size of china on the roof I'd sell that thing on ebay, and quick.

yeah, I noticed the 4runner too. It was like a sky-blue color. I'm emabrassed to say that I even watch that show b/c it's so rediculouly stupid. I haven't seen a car on there that I'd be caught dead in yet.
