Unhappy Totalled

Just got news that it's totalled for 8600.00. Think I should get a second opinion?

Also, I'm on the fence about a new rig. Taco or 4Runner.

I think it depends on what you want to do with it.

If you want the exterior hauling capacity then I would obviously go with the Taco...but if you want people hauling capacity then go with the 4R.

Whatever you decide to go with, it better be Toyota!

Sorry to hear about the wreck guy

So the insurance wrote it off eh? bastards! They did that to me once the money they gave me just covered the repair costs. then they re-insuered it again for about a 100.00 more/year. Are they letting you keep the truck if so and you've got some space you could add to your replacement war chest by parting it out... I know a good home for the front seats if they are sr5 grey and not to pricey... Hope you find something good to replace it . on me Aviator

Thumbs down

No, insurance will cut me a check and keep the rig. I still owed a few grand to the bank on the loan. I'm thinkin it'll end up at an auction as a whole. I need to see if I can yoink my optima out before then.

Too bad

thanks anyway guy I just realized yours was a 4dr and I need a 2dr set or the rails would be too short. So far as yoinking the optima if it was'nt a stock item they really have no claim to it i don't think. If you never declared it on the insurance forms then just grab it. Aviator

Nope, that wasnt mine. My rig is at an auction yard near PDX. I went there today to finish getting all my stuff out (optima too )
I also took the 4Runner and Toyota logos off the back for keepsakes. Now the search is on! I'm pretty sure that I want a 4Runner and I think 96-98 is what I'll end up with. There are quite a few at dealers and such for around 12 grand. I'll see if I can talk em down a bit. I'll pretend to be interested in a cheap ass Subaru or something.

Gotta love that logo. I just put it on my scanner to see what would come out.
