Please show pics of how much pinch weld trimming was required to fit 33x12.5's with only a 2" lift... I'm not debating whether it would work or not because with enough trimming, anything is possible... Just want to know the extent of how much cutting is involved...

I cut my pinchweld back almost even w/ the firewall and don't have any clearance issues w/ 285's and 2" lift. I will try to get some pics for you when I get my truck back.(Tomorrow or Thursday)

I don't have any rubbing with the Donahoes in the front and 285/75/16's Tires. It may be because I have aftermarket rims though?

Not sure if you are still in the market for pics, but here is my rig with 3" suspension and 2" body.

My front end clearance after some trimming with a Dremel (before 2" BL):

And after shaving the lower valence (before 2" BL):

Body lift install... the left side (of the pic) is finished, now onto the right:

All finished

All dressed up and ready to roll...

Eric is your truck only 2wd? I have alot more clearance with the 285's and Donahoes in the front than what you are showing you had without the BL.
I am assuming the 2wd's have a lower stance?

The only lift that would make a difference is a spacer lift... The coils/coilover 2wd & 4wd lifts are the same.

Thanks alot for the reply's guys. I ordered a 2"body lift from 4crawler. I will install it and see how I like my 285's with it. I'll post pics when I get it done and get your opinions on wether I should go bigger.

Would a 2" mean less to worry about on the firewall?

Thanks,Bryan
http://www.sonoransteel.com/thirtyfive.html not really. the trimming needs to be done either way. with a 1", you just sit 1" lower and have a 1" lower COG.

I've got a '99 with the Tundra/OME setup, I belive it's about 2 or 2.5" of lift and I had to trim a little bit off the front valence but nothing major. I am probably going to upsize to the 305's the next time I get tires but I am not going to install a body lift. So I will need to do some trimming for sure.

I think the Tundra/OME by itself is enough but sometimes it would be nicer to be a little bit higher up. This is working fine for me.

Good luck.

Fink

Betsy is a mean looking rig! How do you like the back spacing of those Tundra rims? Any a-arm rub or are you using spacers?

Hoju,

Your truck looks badazz. I am doing the pro-comp xtreme all-terrains (315/75/16's buy 3 get one free!). I am waiting for the 2" body lift, Should be here on Monday or Tuesday. Get the tires put on after that and hopefully be rolling again by the weekend!

Thanks guys.... Betsy has been good to me over the years.

Eric- I love the Sequoia wheels, they've got 5" backspacing, therefore I've got Marlin Crawler 1.25" spacers. I've also had ATS a-arms since "phase one" of my lift.

4runnin2- Hope all goes well with your setup! let us know-
