^^ Those are not bad prices if the tube is 17 bucks - see if they have one instock to look at. The tube may need the ends trimmed up to fit but for $17 bucks I'd do it - like I said, I have already wasted $40 on muffler shop pipes that wouldnt work.
Get a look at the Ford pipe if you can and post the PN# if its the right size!

Ok guys, I'm not a noob, but this sounds like a stupid question to me
Is the "intake silencer" an actual part? And does the 22RE have one? If it's stupid, just kick me in the teeth now and spray dirt on my face with your M/T's

I work at a Ford dealer, and my cost for the boots are $30.00 a piece and the tube is more than that. That is why I am hunting for a good alternative to the blue boots I have. I just haven't had time to look. The tube is 3 inches in diameter. If anyone else has ideas let me know.

When I was in autozone the other day I went through the ricer section and noticed they had a chrome air pipe that was 3" and had a boot on one and was made to have the filter on the other end. What I'm wondering if anyone has tryed one of the these and hooked it to the afm, possibly needing a little cutting, and a good boot. Also it does have the 90o fitting's. So if anyone has used or tryed this let me know, if not I'll do a write up and take some pics, because i'm going to try it this weekend........forgot to add I had one made at a muffler shop and it looked horrible and leaked around the 90o's

When you guys are making these usless things keep in mind that the TB is 2.75" I tried using 3" radiator hose initially and it leaked you need a 2.75" to 3" hump hose connection. I have run mine both with the custom intake tube and the stock one and I can honestly say there is no difference. Im stuck with my intake tube for now since I mounted my jacobs coil under it and cannot go back to stock. I will be making a new tube with more bends in it to make checking the oil easier.
If you think you are gaining anything just have a look at the AFM opening and think again. I guess they look like they should make more power huh?
