Pics of my completed SC install

I installed my supercharger last week, but finally got around to getting some good pics. I also have vac line pics to help your installation

Nice pics!...did you plan to install a boost gauge later on?...also, I suggest you do the "pulley plate mod" to support the nose of the supercharger. I got the idea from Gadget's site.
I'm also planning on changing the s/c oil next week. Ordered the oil kit from Magnuson 3 weeks ago. Actually, I got it for free The tech on the phone was in a good mood , he sent the kit via UPS for free!!

Good Work! But I do have one question, I see you routed the 4wd VSV all the way around to the throttle body, however I did mine as according to the TRD manual and connected it right next to the manifold on the charcoal canister line?? My 4wd lights all come on when I pull the shifter, but I have not needed 4wd, nor been in a position to tell if it really is working? Can you (or anyone else) tell me that I did it ok?

Thanks guys!

I just looked at my manual again, I went off the diagram on the bottom of page 21 in the TRD manual.

THe reason I routed it to the throttle body is because i have a power steering line that had to be "T" to the canister line.
Gadget suggested that I hook up the 4X4 line to the throttle body and the ps vacuum line to the canister. I tested out my 4x4 and verified that everything worked.

Man, just listening to the SC makes me wanna buy one! Great pics. You should do a write up or some brief install tips/notes b/f you forget.

HOly old threads batman. The pics aren't working, so I can't tell what gen of supercharger is being documented.

(and frankly, since gen 1 superchargers are less and less common this post is not worth its own thread)

If you're working on an older truck with a gen 1 supercharger, you may have referred yourself to gadget's diagram:

http://www.gadgetonline.com/Vac.JPG

One note that I'd add is that the VSV line from intake hose to the PS-vac line (tee) is stated as not being on newer models. I believe "newer" models means 1997 (I didn't have such a line - plus I think this was from gadget's first install on a 1996 truck).

Also, watch terminology of valve names. "One way" in the gadget diagram is your already existing 4wd (blue/white) (not the new one way(all white); and frankly, I think that line is not even shown on this updated drawing).

Either way, thanks (Gadget and others) for keeping the old technology alive.

vroom vroom.
