[PICS] My 02 SE 4Runner!

Hey guys,
First pics of my truck I purchased back in Apr. I finally finished cleaning the heck out of the exterior with the clay bar and some wax. Came out awesome.

I opted for a very mild lift for now since it is my daily commuter. It runs great now that I had just about everything serviced on it. The 4x4 shop guy that took it to be alligned asked me if I have a supercharger in it

I have about a 1 inch rake, should I keep that or crank up the fronts about a .25 inch or so? See sig for what I have.

First time having mtr's and love them

So far so good! I'm real happy with the ride. I went with those so that if I do go bigger, all i have to do is get new springs for the rear.

yeah rock - you inspired me I viewed your rig many-a-time!

Roo - I think your rig looks awesome as it is. My 89 was totalled in Feb (someone rear ended me) so I had no choice but to buy an 02!

by the time you do that, it might have been cheaper to get bushwacker flares and a sport hood, then to take all that off and loose 2000 or more in the trade in.

just my piece of thoughts

89, that is the cleanest runner ive seen, verrry nice,

But buying the later 3rd gen you do get a lot of nice upgrades and lower miles but if the budget is an issue then sticking with the '97 might be better.

yeah cupholders is a nice upgrade, but i think the only benefit he would have is the lower miles.

still i tried trading in my 01 for an 2000 and would have still got raped then and mine had less miles then the 2000.

he has more miles then a 2000 sport and it would just really kill him then.

if you sell yours, you are still going to fork out an extra 2k just to get the 2000-2002 with the sport flares (the 99 had the sr5 flares on the sport model)

if you trade in, you can buy another 97 with the difference, thats how bad its going to be.

this is going to be down the road. as of now my next car will be an 02 4runner....for multiple reasons (yeah, including the cupholder). but i'm getting nervous as i approach the 200 mark, sooner or later i'm getting a new one, i'd like a low mileage, high class 02 sport

my 89 had 226k miles when it was totalled, and i had no doubts it would of gone another 100k miles on that engine. my 02 had 65k miles on it when i got it... if you're patient you can find them with lower miles. A few months later i saw a 02 sport show up at a dealer with 50k miles.

RooR, like 89 said, you can find good deals on '02s with low miles. I bought my '02 on 4/20/06 and it only had 22k miles on it. The original tires were still on it and the tire fuzz was still on the tread. (Previous owner only drove the vehicle in the winter, so the pavement never got to eat up the fuzz.)

Long story short, they can be had w/ low miles...just depends on what you willing to spend. I just hit the 50K on my truck...I average about 20k miles a year. I hope to still have this truck long into the 200k mile range

Looks exactly like mine. Except I trashed the front spoiler thing two weeks ago. It's sitting in my garage all mangled up right now. Useless.

I'm coming up on 80k mark (600 miles to go), but I'll still be romping with this rig at 300k.
