how do i get a little pic under my name when i post and do i have to host it or does someone else?

ok i took some pics with my dads digital camera... he took the camera to his office and put them on a disk and gave me the disk the pics are like to big or something they don't open and make my pc freeze all the time how and what can i do to make them work on my pc?
