You have any pics of your clear tails? Well I am waiting for my decal that goes over the 3rd brake light, I've tried and tried to find clear 3rd brake lights and came up with nothing. Here's a pic of the decal that I won on ebay, I should be getting it sometime next week, it is going to match up pretty well with the tinted windows, I hate the 3rd brake light, its the only thing red on my truck and everything else is white, chrome, black and silver.

nice solution to cover the 3rd brake light. on won the lens on ebay dirt cheap so i'm waiting for them to get here.

anways i did a search on yahoo and found a link that said if you dip the lens in bleach for 3 days it'll get the color out.i want to try it but i don't have any scrap lens to try it w/.

i kno what your saying about everything being white except for the 3rd brake light.Maybe it won't turn out to be a bad thing if the bleach doesn't work cuz it should keep the back street legal.(i'd rather not put small strips of red tape on them)
I'm thinking the only reason the rx330 is legal is cuz of the 2 red reflectors on the bumper. Not exactly the same thing as the 3rd brake light but it's still red.

I am not really sure what the shape of the brake light lens looks like, meaning, I don't know if it has a lip on it. When I had my '97 Maxima, people would take flourecent lighting material and cut new lens out of it to replace the yellow section of their tail lights. Because the material has the little dimple pattern on it, it matched up very well. You can get sheets of the plastic material at Home Depot. It might be worth a try.

Yeah it's just a sticker, it only cost me $11 including shipping. I'm really happy with quality of the sticker.

ok i just found out that the gaskets aren't sealed on my tail lights when i got the hose out and sprayed the back of the ride and saw water droplets in the lens.any ideas as of how to seal it? right now i've found a temporary solution as i duct taped the edges. What has anyone else used to seal it?

@ Momo.75, I have some of that material and I am going to try make a custom cover. I just have to think about the seal, and how to make up something that will be watertight.

Oh and a proper clear cover is available for the 3rd gen, I've seen them on some Japanese sites. Not easy to find though as I dont speak Japanese.

I used marine grade sealant around the edges of my clear corners and signals, still holding up after almost 2 years. Give that a shot.

Just remember to use a red bulb in place of the OEM one since a white light is a backup light and the cops will pull you over if teh brakes illuminate white.

That's an option if you have 400 bucks burning a hole in your pocket I was thinking a clear lens and led bulbs for around 40 bucks, also if you live in a climate where it snows that spoiler gets bent down from the weight...just a little tip for ya !
