Whenever my truck is in neutral or park, my parking brake light comes on. Anyone know what it is?

 

check your break fluid

 

my moms contour is doing that right now. e-brake light comes on, then you step on the brakes, and the e-brake light goes off. comes back on right after you let off the brakes. check the brake fluid. if its not that, could be the e-brake sensor, or wire is loose or going out. i called my buddy tonight to talk about his problem, he mentioned with his moms avalon, hers was doing that until they're replaced the battery and it went away.

 

you could try disconecting the battery for a few minites if the brake fluid isnt it, but i bet it is
