the plastic is dark gray. yours looks the same as mine. i wish they did it black though

 

Looks good man, but you should definitely do something with the rusted chrome bumper. Maybe painting it to match your 4Runner would look good?

 

so how did you end up painting it?

 

i sanded the grille with 60 grit to rough up the chrome. then did two coats of black and one coat of clear. its holding up nicely

 

All I did to paint mine was took the grill off, wire wheeled everything I could get to and roughed it up real good then sanded with 100grit all the little nookes and cranny's then 2 coats of krylon auto primer and then 3 coats of krylon fusion for plastic have had mine for 2 months and not one chip or scratch I even for a test tried scraping it with my fingernail and nothin the fusion bonds with the plastic its actually got a real nice finish to it also not flat but not too glossy either
