Painted my fender flares...

Unfortunately, I didn't color-match them with my dark green runner. But over the years I had carelessly gotten wax on the black SR5 flares and that stuff stains the plastic bad, so there were some really trashy looking parts. I took all the flares and mud flaps off, cleaned them good, put about 4 layers of semi-flat Krylon spray paint on them, then put a couple coats of krylon clear coat and they look like NEW. The clear coat makes them shine. But it's not worth any pics because you probably couldn't even tell I did it, but I can notice a big difference now that the fender flares aren't stained with wax. They're even shinier than new IMO. It's a really easy process and i suggest you do it if you want an easy fix if you have the same problem.

I'm getting Bushwackers pretty shortly and I'm gonna paint them glossy black plus my lower front valance will be painted to match. I hope to have pics soon after.

I thought it was call for immediate dismissal when you start a thread like this and DON'T provide pics.

Exactly!

I had a ton of wax on my flares, and thanks to this board I got it all removed by using peanut butter!

You people have no idea of how lazy I am. Anyway, it rained today so my truck and flares got dirty, so I just wiped the flares off w/ a wet rag for the pic's sake. Here are a couple shots. I bet you can't tell the difference between stock SR5 flares and after I painted them, they're the EXACT same:

I hope you're happy. I'm way too lazy for this stuff: I just had to get up off my lazy ass, get camera, wipe off flares, take pics, download them, resize them, upload them to net, and post this. Rawr.

too late... there's a white line where the flares go when you take them off my truck from where the paint was scratched up. Oh well, i always plan to have some type of flares on my truck.
