I have had a couple people ask how the paint is holding up on the wheels. So far so good. It has only been a couple months. I had a couple small nicks from a lug nut and such. However, they have not gotten worse since the nick occured. If I had it to do over, I would not have done the clear coat so that I could touch up without redoing the entire wheel.

I'm digg'n the wheels man... I think the whole LC wheel thing is starting to get played out but they look totally different with that lip. As stated I don't know if that would work on all colors but it really looks good on your rig. What are you going to do next?? I think you should continue the black trim look with the bumpers and paint the chrome on the bumpers (and or the grille) if you don't plan on replacing them in the near future.

I haven't seen it, but I do not make it past the 3rd gen. subforum very often.

I got it for a steal at a LLBean Outlet. 30% off then 50% off = $35

I was thinking about phasing out the chrome, but then go into kicks where I like it. I have sliders going on this weekend and I am debating between silver and black. Black is winning right now. I want to get a real bumper right after some budbuilts, so I figure I will sport the chrome until the front bumper (which will likely be black) goes on then phase out the chrome. Too much to do, too little time and money.

Is there enough room up on there ceiling there to hold 9 foot fly rods on your rod loft? (Guess I could go measure too)

If so I'm going to have to definitely get one of those.

One of the main reasons I own a 4runner is for fly fishing trips. Can't wait to get out fishing again.

There is just enough room to fit a 9' rod. It bends and reaches down almost to the defrost vent though. Not really a problem especially since I usually fish shorter rods for small streams.

4.5" Came off a 97, I think, which was the last year they were available in this style. Search around there are tons of people running this style wheel.
