Painted LC Wheels for my Runner
#21
I wouldn't take the running boards off unless you are going to put sliders on. The driver's side one was all that kept my truck from having the driver's side body on the side of a hill. I was teetering on that little running board but it held up. Afterwards two of us jumped up and down on it to straighten it out. I definately want sliders but that running board saved me a lot of $$$ in body work.

The Jeep in the background is actually on level ground so you have an idea how far I was tilted.

I just realized I ordered one wrong front shock
I can't believe I did that and didn't catch it sooner. I have 2 tokico dealers within 30 miles of me. I am just hoping that one will have the correct shock in stock so that I can do this install this weekend.

You should send me you wheels and lift so you don't have to bother with any of it anymore

yeah, what are you going to do with them?
jedi mind trick: "I am going to send them to b.miller123"
let's see if it works................

Right now I am steaming thinking that I will not be able to complete the lift this weekend if I can't locate another front shock.ARRRHHHGG

Thanks Fellas!
I got a great deal on them used with about 6,000 miles on them. They show a little tread wear, but not major. I drove the truck about 100 miles without having an alignment and was regretting the tire choice, but the alignment made a world of difference. Considering the type of tire, they are very smooth and relatively quiet on the road. I took the truck out today with the specific intention of testing their wet traction on the road. It is very close to the half worn Bridgestone duelers I just took off. The only complaint I have with the tires/lift is, I got leaf crap thrown all over the side of my truck.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to put them to an offroad test yet. It is hard to find anywhere near where I live that is not paved or someone's lawn.
Some pics from this evening's drive.

When she was stock.
