Looking for a new battery, mine is dead. I am going with the Optima Red Top but I have a quick question. I don't have my Runner with me today to check the battery tray length. Will the group 35 Optima fit length wise? They said my battery is 9 1/16" long and the Optima is 10" long. The width is the same and the height is shorter.

Any info is appreciated.

Yes it will fit lengthwise.

The Red Top is to short for your mounts, so make sure you get the needed spacer tray that is supposed to come with it.

Also, make sure you get the R version for Reversed poles so it will bolts right up to your wire harness.

Yeah. I remember the Orange Top had the reverse terminals but when I called the battery shop, they said it's discontinued, but they have a Red Top with the reverse now. Costco had some red and blues, but terminals were on the wrong side...my Die Hard is starting to die...Red Top next.

 

I was in an Advance Auto parts near where I live and saw they had 2 Orange Tops sitting there for sale. I thought they would have been pulled since they were discontinued. The knuclehead I talked to there didn't know the Oranges were discontinued.

 

Thanks for the info, I got mine at Battery Plus the guy let me have the battery for $99.95 + tax which was $10 less than anyone else.

I got it installed last night. They don't give a lot of slack in the + cable that is for sure. Seems like the post on the battery is farther over than the original.

I also got a Stinger rechargable flashlight mounted lastnight I will post some pictures later.
