OIL IN RADIATOR need help
Ok, I had a 3.0 v6 rebuilt a few months ago and put into my wife's 88 4runner, and yesterday morning she informed me there was a puddle of oil and antifreeze on the ground after backing out of our garage. I took the radiator cap off and a chocolate milk shake came foaming out of the radiator. Anyone else have this problem before? It had plenty of antifreeze, and the thing had just been rebuilt. My guess cracked head, block, or intake?

The iol and antireeze have mixed.....sorry bad news. :pat:
You need to take it back to whoever rebuilt it and get em to fix it.
Also ask to see any parts after the repair if he tries to charge you.
That way if it is legit you will know it.

Yup, if oil is in the radiator, there's only one way it goth there - by slipping between the oil/water jackets which means either a cracked head or (more likely) a blown headgasket. Your engine builder didn't do a very good job most likely. Coincidences happen, but more often than not there's more reasonable causes.

Hey thanks for the replies. I like the water jacket idea. The old heads were shaved down, but I don't think they were checked for integrity. Maybe the previous owner overheated one or both of the heads too much and weakend the jackets.
