OEM Stripe removed
Removed my OEM stripes today, it took about 1.5 hours including waxing.
I borrowed a heat gun from work, and used a "solder aid", (which is like a flimsy plastic popsicle stick) to get the peel started. I used plastic so it would be less likely to scratch.
With the heat setting on "2", I heated an egde for a few seconds then peeled it with the solder aid, then I was able to peel it off in by hand in huge strips by applying heat from about a foot away.
When I was done, I used Acetone on a rag to clean off the leftover adhesive.
Pretty easy job, thanks to the tips on this site, and it looks way better.

Sweet deal man, glad to hear that it worked for ya, that is definatley something I need to tackle some time soon. You seemed to have better luck with the project than most. I need to find me some kind of soft plactic stick or what not so I don't damage my paint any more than it already is. Glad to hear it went well, it inspires me to get out and doit, no matter how chilly it is.

95Runner was there any difference in the paint from where you peeled up the sticker?? I am toying with doing this on mine but was wondering about the paint thing. Thanks

There's a difference, but it's not noticable unless you're really looking for it. I went over the area with clearcoat polish and wax by hand, and I can still see a little difference.
