Many, Many Thanks

Everyone,

Thank you very much for all the kind words. As much fun as I'm having driving it, I'd be lying if I said the accolades didn't matter. You can't build a motor like this and not have an ego!

I know many of you have been as patient as me (well, close) and have some serious questions about it's performance. All I can tell you for the moment is, seat of the pants, the f#$@er's FAST

In regards to hard numbers, here's the deal:

500HP is admittedly only an estimate, and that assumes the NOS. My hope is to be North of 400HP without NOS, and it sure feels like it to me (I've been in 400-500HP cars before)

I hope to have dyno results (at least without the NOS) in the next 10 days, I'm going to try and set an appointment today with a shop not far from my house.

Please DO NOT EXPECT 1/4 mile times until spring. As I keep saying, winter is here and the engine needs some maturing to make me feel good. Besides, I barely know how to get the best launch yet, so give me some time to make you all proud when I get to the track!

Again, thanks for all your support. And a special thanks to Trager and Jason Cobb (F2uning) again for making this all possible. If you live near Coeur D'Alene, go see F2uning. Trager's twin-turbo is still there if you want to see a 5VZ in progress.

Of course, you gotta break that motor in properly and since you have all winter to do it come spring it will be ready. I was raving about your truck over on the import board I'm on and plenty of members over there are curious also.

Wooooooo! Nice to see someone else is pushing the limits!! Glad to see all that time and money has paid off. Too bad you can't beat the hennesy, but there is the whole weight thing as well as drag. The only thing about waiting until spring is you will miss the cold weather and the extra power from the fmic! I do totally agree in the whole break in process. There was some Ford crossworth thing Ive seen videos on where they would spray a fire extinguisher on their intercooler before each run. Anyway... congrats on a such a sweet tire roaster!

Dear god! That thing is bad ass! Man I wish I could afford the supercharger and Gadget's fuel upgrade package, let alone all that stuff. Great job. You're the envy of everyone on this forum. I guarantee it.

Ive always wondered why somebody hasn't done something like that. Dont a few cars spray water on the intercooler to create more power? Seems to me if you could create something like that, that was switch operated it would create alot more power(prolly more expensive though), but then again I dont really know what im talking about.

Seen 'em. There is also something similar on the new WRX STI, but all reviews could not tell a difference. There are many things you could spray onto the intercooler, NOS being one of the best at lowering temperatures. Since I already have the tank, it would seem silly to add another reservoir. Perhaps a future mod, but I'm quite happy now thanks!

NW4Runner, I don't know about the fastest street 4runner.

I know there is at least 1 2JZ 4runner, and then I personally have built several 7MGTE 4runners.

Nice swap though. You can probably have a little fun with all that low end power.

He didn't swap... he's still got the 5VZFE. Actually, I don't know if it's still safe to call that thing a 5VZFE after all the mods he's done. He's probably got the fastest SC'd 4Runner out there.

I wouldn't be surprized if it's one of the fastest 4 runners out there.
