Non-Hazmat Rust Treatment?
I just got my 2002 4Runner and after giving it a really good wash I noticed that I've got a tiny 1mm sized rust spot on my roof just above the driver's side windshield. I want to use something that will kill the rust and allow me to run some touch up paint over it but I just read through some threads and found (to my dismay) that the rust treatments that seem to work the best aren't able to be shipped to Hawaii.
Each of the companies I emailed said they are restricted to ground transport only. That would leave me with naval jelly, which I've tried before and found that it doesn't really work.
Does anyone know of a rust treatment that is effective but not ultra hazardous that I could get at my local Checker or NAPA? I've thought about going to a boat/marine shop, they've got lots of 'em in Hawaii, but they sell a lot of their rust treatments by the gallon. Overkill for a 1mm sized spot.
