Noise when turning
It's weird, I was just out on my land doing a little 4 wheelin and noticed something. When I turn hard right or hard left and hit any kind of bump...big or small...it makes a semi-loud metal clanking noise from the undercarriage...under the drivers seat.
I thought it could be the tires rubbing but its not coming from the wheel well, its coming from underneath.
Any Ideas

Its the steering stops ( I dont know what they are really called ) There is a plastic bumper that looks like a acorn nut. Its on the inside of the wheel on the brake rotor dust shield. The bumper wears out causing metal to metal contact when the wheel is turned all the way. I just put some grease on it and its quiet for a while.

Would be obvious if I were to get under there and look at it while somebody turned the wheel or do I need some specific instructions on how to find it?
Thanks for the quick responses...any more ideas on it would be nice too!!
Thx. again

Put a big gob of grease on each steering stop. They are located on the front and back of the spindle on both sides of the truck. When you turn full lock they rub and make noise. There are supposed to be plastic covers onthem but they wear off very quickly.
