??? No oil pressure on gauge??? (87 4runner)

I picked up an 87 4runner and rebuilt the 22re ( new bearings, pistons, rebuilt head) but I'm not showing any oil pressure on the gauge. How do I check to see if the problem is the pressure switch, the wiring or ??? Thanks, rj

Well the pressure sender should be around the oil filter area on the engine block, its a black boot looking thing. You could remove it and install a temporary mechanical pressure guage just to make sure everything is ok mechanically.

Thanks

Thanks for the impute. I am going to give that a try. I'm also going to disconnect the wire to it and check it for voltage with the key on. I'm told it should read out 12 volts if that end of things are working right. Thanks again, rj
