No crank no shift
Hey all, I need help. Not a very good mechanic but am trying to learn. So I have a 2001 Tacoma Pre-runner 3.4 L 2wd with a crew cab. My daughter is driving it to college and she stopped in the carport to discover it wouldn't shift into park. The shifter was very loose so I replaced the 4 shifter bushings. It tightened the shifter up nicely. But the problem persisted, so I got a shifter assembly from a junk yard, still the same problem exists. The brakes feel very tight, I looked at the brake switch and it didn't show any signs of damage. I was checking the fuses and the 60A for the brake system in slot 32 was totally missing. Any ideas what to check next? I'm going to add the brake system fuse but it has worked for 100k miles without it...

Update: replaced brake light switch no change. I tried to push the truck in park and it didn't move so I know it is park. The truck does not crank or make any noises and will not shift out of park without using the manual override switch. Any ideas at all?
