newbie needs help/engine swap 2nd gen 4runner

i recently blew up my engine in my 94 runner and i have been considering a swap. i would like to know what would be cheaper, foriegn or domestic, as well as what is involved. also any web sites will help

there's lots of ways to go and lot's of info in the archives. do a search for 3.4L engine swap. should give you plenty of threads to choose from.

Gee, someone on this forum told me I was a complete idiot and had no clue what I was talking about when I said that swapping in a 3.4 or supra motor was a lot of work... Although the supra swap does actually sound interesting. For offroading a straight six is nice, but I wouldnt' want a turbo except for street use. But then I have no clue.

Where are you located? There is a guy down here in houston that has done a couple 3.4L supercharged swaps. That is probably the easiest swap avaialable and the TRD supercharger gives great low end power for off roading.
