new wheels or no?

Here's the scenario, i drive a 95 4runner, and the tires i have on now are bald toyo p225/75r15's, on the factory shiny hubcap wheels. i went to my local Walker tire, they quoted me $646 for 31" dueler revos, mounted and balanced. the question is should I stick with this and run w/ it, or should I get some new rims at the same time?
Any input would help.
Thanks

You can put 31's, 32's or skinny 33's or even 35's on the stock wheels. The width is the deciding factor.

Steel wheels are heavy and some times hard to balance. They make it look like you wheel, but I would get aluminum for a truck that does not see rocks. Lighter, probably truer and BLINGer.

I don't know of any reason why you could'nt

Hey guy so far as i know there's no reason why you could'nt get the tires now and remount them on to new rims later. about the only thing i could see being a problem is if your current rims are in bad shape they might through out the tire a little bit and make it harder to balance on the new rims later but i'm no expert... Why not look into getting the rims and tires now several tire shops have those buy now pay later credit schemes (scams?) going.. I know it was the only way i could get baby her new shoes when she needed them (BFG 31 X10.5 ATs). Cheers Aviator

You know you want new wheels. You're just looking for validation. Admit it .

I say spring for a new set if you can afford them. They'll totally change the look of your truck. You won't regret it. Well, unless you buy ugly wheels.
