New tires and lift time boys!

OK..time for new tires and that body lift.

Thinkin about goin with the BFG M/T's and a 1" Roger Brown BL.

How long does it take to get the body lifts in? I'm gonna be needin it pretty soon cause I have a nail in my rear passenger tire and its leakin pretty fast so I'll need it within a few days...or at the most a week.

Also, is $150 too much to pay to get my 1" lift installed...due to the time constraint I won't be able to do it myself because of work and finals coming up in school.

What do you all think?

It took me a couple hours to do the BL.

$150 really depends on how much your time is worth...

that doesn't sound too bad.

Sound like a good plan, I will be doing the same in the future.

In the meanwhile, have you thought about selling your Ats? I could use a spare if the price is right.

Yeah I could sell the A/T's, not sure what I would sell them for but make me an offer and I'll see what I can do. I've also got a brand new Bridgestone Dueler for a spare that I will sell too. Let me know if anyone wants em...you could have them as early as mid next week.

Thanks guys,

Fink

OK...just an update. I'm gonna be able to get 4 BFG mudders 33x12.50 in size shipped to my local dealer for $618.74. And I will get them mounted for about $17 per tire, BL for about $90, and then get the lift installed for about $150.

Does that sound like too much to spend for just new tires and a 1" body lift?

Also, how do I go about ordering a lift from Roger?

As far as prices go, sounds like a good deal, I'm jelous.

Did you try getting your muds through Wal Mart? I got mine through them and bought the $9 warenty plan for each tire, thats a good deal if ya wheel! Wal Mart is no auto shop but they mount tires just fine and it is sooo cheap.

Try 4crawler.com for the RB BL. Its not a very well laid out site but you can find the ordering link pretty easily. Good luck!

Yeah...Wal-Marts prices were pretty high. Much higher than the prices I got through my connection at the dealer.

I just sent Roger an email regarding the lift so I can find out how much it will be...hopefully I will hear from him soon.

Thanks for the help guys!

OK...got it all figured out!

Tires are gonna be ordered by my Dad tomorrow and I just sent Roger an email with the info for my BL. Now all I gotta do is wait for the stuff to come in and schedule a time for my BL to be put on.

I appreciate all the help guys, and if you have any more advice be sure to let me know!

33's by 12.50's? Ouch.

If my memory serves me correct, aren't you getting about 13 miles to the gallon running on 31's by 10.50's?

You can count on dropping into a single digit with 33s.

Are you mounting them on the 8" TECHs?

Well today I actually got about 15...so I'm hoping to stay in the double digits, but maybe around 10-11. I will be regearing eventually...but the difference in off-road performance, looks and overall cool factor will override the decrease in mileage. Although I did just pay $2/gal, I'm hoping to regear and be locked within 6-8 months depending on how it goes at work.

We'll see..

Put on the lift yourself.

Get new shocks with the money saved.

Find a couple locals, give them beer and tell them to get it done.

All you need is basic tools and a jack. Some wood and a Hi-Lift will make it easier, but you get the idea.

Spacers with stock shocks will blow. Cruiser coils with stock rears and no panhard will blow too.

Given the fact that I have to work everyday after school, study for finals and work two 8 hour shifts and go to football practice on the weekend I really won't have any time to install the lift myself. And it turns out its gonna be cheaper than $150...maybe around $50-$100.

Even if I didn't go with labor on the lift...theres no way I could get shocks with the money saved.

The circumstances are kinda hard to deal with...I'm driving my dads truck until I can get all this stuff fixed cause I have a huge screw in the sidewall of one of my tires and I figured if I was gonna have to replace 2 of my tires I might as well do the whole thing at the same time.

So I really all this stuff done as fast as possible but I also have to work to help pay for all this and I also have to study for my finals...its gonna be pretty busy around here for a while. Not to mention football is about to start so that will be a 4 hour a day thing.

Thanks for all the advice, I really appreciate the help and advice and keep it comin.

OK...got my tires this morning. Talk about fast! I ordered them yesterday afternoon at around 4:15 and UPS came this morning at 10:45. Gotta love going through a dealer!

Anyway, we test fitted them on the front with no lift, lol, what a joke!

If I had driven those things they woulda ripped off my front bumper in a heartbeat! But OH MAN they looked good on there! I can't wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of this week when my lift gets put on...oh boy.

Anyway, just thought I'd update everyone.

Pics will be up as soon as everything is on!
