New Shocks Installed!!!

Well I took my truck in first thing this morning, and picked it up a few hours later with my new Bilsteins installed I've been driving my truck around town all day, and I really wish I had done this sooner!!! The difference it made is unbelievable!!! I haven't had a chance to try any offroading with them yet, but hopefully I'll get a chance to do a little tommorow

I am so glad that I got these, and unless something better comes along, I highly doubt that I'll ever get rid of them And as everyone did for me, I'm highly recommending these to anyone who's been considering them, but weren't sure, they are unbelievable!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone

I just got back from testing my new Bilsteins out on a little trail (not really a trail, but more of a fire road with a street sign ) it has a lot of washboard, and small ruts and holes; which is the normal kind of stuff I usually offroad in, and the stuff that my old shocks completely sucked with
The Bilsteins on the other hand make such a difference!!! They handle exactly how I wanted them to. I can feel that I have a lot more control while i'm on the trail (and road for that matter) and my truck doesn't drift nearly as much as it used to.

In Short I LOVE the Bilsteins They are the best shocks I have ever owned, and I very highly doubt that I will ever use a different kind of shock.

Thanks again everyone for your advice on these Even though they ended up costing me $50 more (because I had to have them installed) it was money well spent.

Glad you like 'em! The shcoks were the first mod I did and it made a VAST improvement in handling and ride both on and off-road. I got the Edlebrocks but I hear the Bils are good too.

Congrats on your new billies.
I love the ride on the billies on my prerunner.
Are these by any chance the same bilstein models you purchased?

From what i hear the taco trd bilsteins are much stiffer and other bilsteins have a much more comfortable and "better"ride. Is this true?

I bought the HD OEM Bilsteins for a 90-95 4Runner (5100 Series? I'm not sure on the series) They have a yellow body with a blue boot. I've read the same things about the stock TRD Bilsteins, and from what I read the aftermarket Bils are a lot better than the stock ones. But I have no experience with the stock TRD Bilsteins.

sweet! i have rancho 5000's on. they're cool, but im going to get billies!!! my friends have been telling me about them, and they're not too expensive! I'd love to get the 7100's but TOOOOO expensive! after reading this thread, i want them more than ever! My ride is kinda rough right now, actually really rough. I have dual ranchos in front, but i will be getting rid of my double shock hoop (ne one want them for a fair price?? ) and getting an AOR extended single shock hoop. Cant wait!
