New forum category?

Hey, what do you think of adding a Tacoma category here for another forum?

Right now we have all the 4Runners, trucks (which includes pre Taco, and Taco) and SUV's which would include the Highlander in one forum.

Would anyone like to see a Tacoma specific forum here too?
Just a thought running through my noggin' here on a Monday morning

There are more Tacoma members as of late, and the idea struck me last night.

Maybe Not

While this forum is growing, it might not be a good idea to split everybody up. So many things are common between the 'Runners and trucks, that I think I would leave well enough alone for now. Perhaps after we get more members, we can start thinking about more sub-groups. Just my 2 cents!

I agree. Probably not enough members with tacos here yet.

Don't do it. The two vehicles are so close together that we can continue to learn form each other. Look at the number fo threads for the Tundra, and Landcruiser forums. No one uses them. We all tend to stay in this one.

We are all Toyota fans, not just for one of their vehicles, but fans of all of their high quality engineering and manufacturing.

I'd like to keep the Taco guys over here as well. I like chatting with them and there is a lot of info to trade with each other. The 4Runner and Tacos have so much in common that another forum would just split us all up

For now then, united we shall stand.
Like I said, it was just an idea.

I have seen other forums do it, but the Tacoma sections are all really slow.

And some forums are now charging members to post, so I thought it might bring in more Tacomas.
If you know friends with Tacos, let 'em know about us

United we stand

I can understand the concerns with dividing the participants here, but let me play devil's advocate;

First, the vehicles are actually pretty different, especially in the all important suspension category.

Second, you may actually be inadvertantly limiting participation by Tacoma owners by not having a dedicated area for them. When I first started reading the posts here six months ago, it seemed pretty obvious that this was a 4Runner specific board. Sometimes the best way to attract people is to make them feel at home

With that said, do as you will. Either way the board is likely to grow. It's just a question of in what direction

I say go for it Corey. Even if there are only a few in here who drive Toyota Trucks, (and I'm guessing there are at least a dozen)at least they will have a forum of their own to log in to and shoot the ˟˟˟˟ with other owners about their rides. Plus, they can still come in here and read all the posts about Runners. What better compliment to Toy truck owners than to have their own board to post and read about trucks. If I were a Toyota truck owner I would much rather read and post with other truck owners instead of a majority of Runner owners.
