I just received my new replacement fogs from Hella this afternoon. I called them last monday regarding corroded fogs on my rig and sure enough I got a new one . I might be installing it later after I paint the front black since they only have gray replacement fogs available when I called. Here are some pics:

Well George, I tried to view the pics, but it said I needed to sign in. Any hints? Also, I have the same problem -- corroded fog lights. I installed them myself, but followed the instructions to the T. The Hella ones are just poorly designed I think. If you're driving in light mist they're fine, but it's the puddles that screw with them. Water gets in and then you get pissed off... I'm wondering what you did and who you called to get new ones. I'd like to do the same, and maybe add a ring of high temperature silicon sealant around the housing for the lense, and maybe do something to the back as well. Hopefully that would keep them from corroding again. Let me know, and let's see those pics!

I dont have fog lights at all and was wondering how hard it would be to install some along with the switch in the dash.
What kind should I get if I decide to give it a try? Where is the best place to get them?

They are fairly easy to do, very easy if your comfortable doing some basic wiring. If you're just looking for reasonably priced, well-built fog light, I like the Hella 500s. The install is pretty easy, though the directions can be a bit confusing if you don't know what's going on. I got mine from 4x4connection. They have good prices, good selection, and terrific customer service. Plus, they are located in VA, so for East coasters like me, shipping times are less than the California and PNW shops.

Sorry for that. I'm going to try to post another pic using montypics. The guy I talked to at Hell a was Scott. He admitted that they know the problem but Toyota doesn't want to fix it. There is a plate that goes behind the back of the fogs but I haven't seen any of them. Just tell Hella customer service and ask for Scott. I also put silicone around the housing where the rubber boot goes into. So far it's been working on the old pair. I might install the new ones later.
