Well I did it today. I ordered my new tires. I went with the 285/75/16 BFG MT's. I was looking at all the different brands like Goodyear, Firestone, Bridgestone, and BFG's and finally worked out a good price with a local store (the owner is a friend of mine). I went to check on the Goodyears and the lowest I could get on those was $180 per tire locally($840 installed). So I called a friend that owns a tire store and he checked out what he could do on the Bridgestones, Firestones and BFG's. Well to my suprise somehow he could get the BFG's for much cheaper than either one of the others. So next Tuesday I get my new BFG's installed for $720 bucks with a lifetime rotation and balance. Sounds like a great deal to me and it's the cheapest I've been able to find any nice mude tires around. Just thought i would share becaue I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl right now

My 305/70r16s (33x12.5) BFG mt kick ass good choice. They perform awesome down here in the mud belt (red clay) of the US

 

Congrats Jonathan, let us know what you think of them when you get them mounted etc. I'm thinking BFG or Revo's for my next tire.

I have BFG Muds... and I love them... heck I drive like 50 miles one way to work everyday...

Thinking when these wear out... Ill get the bigger size....

What I like the best is my last car I spent the same amount on tires and got these thin things for my fast car... they wear out WAY too fast for the money, and so far my big nobby tires are going to last me alot longer.

I'm another happy owner of BFG MT's. I've had mine on for about 2500 miles so far. I love 'em.

 

WOW, that price seems high but they are for a 16 inch wheel. I payed 584.00 out the door with the lifetime blah blah blah for 31x10.50 15s. Why are metrics so much more?????

Oh, something I didn't take into account, how big is a 285/75 in inches???

 

Yeah if you jump from 15" to 16" expect to pay a lot more for tires. I could get that same tire in a 33X12.50 for like $550 out the door. Not really sure why with just an inch difference it's so much more, but thats the way it goes I guess. Also a 285/75 is bigger than a 31x10.50. It measures out to about a 32.83x11.22 so that also makes a difference. Oh well gotta have so might as well get some good ones I guess

 

Awsome, mud terrains are great, You should have tried tire rack...well I got my 35 inch MT/R's for only $600, but that was through my buddies work, no shipping or anything. Post pictures, i wanna see

 

I actually did look at tirerack, but even from them, after shipping, the tires were gonna cost me $785 bucks, and then I still have to get them mounted and balanced which is even more money. I think I made out like a bandit getting these tires for $720 installed. Believe me I've checked everywhere trying to get the best price on all types of good mud tires and these by far are the cheapest.
