I've been a toyota owner for 10yrs now and am looking to upgrade my wheels - currently driving a trick '94 SR5 Pickup.


Currently running a set of 15x8 Eagles w/ a -30 offset and 31"

It's just right. Corners well, good stance, edge of the tread is just under the extended fender flairs.

I've had these wheels for almost 10 years now and am tired of looking at them.

My problem is that I can't seem to find an 18" wheel that works.

We tried a 18x10 w/ -25mm offset, but this pushed the tire edge an inch beyond the edge of the truck - not good. It needs to go back about an inch.
Truck's already pretty hard on outter wheel bearings and I don't want the tires flinging rocks and crap all over.

From calculations I need an 18x10 with 0 offset; or 18x8 with a -25 offset or something in between.


Have any of you put 18" on yours? If so, which wheels did you find that work?

Not sure exactly what you are looking for regarding styling or backspacing as you only mentioned offset, but here is a link to what I think are some kick ass wheels...

Just an idea for ya...one of the few mainstream wheels painted black that are affordable. Another sweet place to check is www.bozeforged.com The $$ jumps up quite a bit there, but you can get any finish you want, as well as custom backspacing and offset. There are a ton of other styled black wheels on the market, it all comes down to your budget and taste. My bad.

Basic rundown
Motor: 3VZE as far as one will go. That's ported, polished, balanced, cams, injectors, headers, bla bla (more details if you want them.)
Pretty peppy for a 3VZE, but a dog compared to current production.
Suspension: NWOR Bars, braces, swaybars, Rancho rear springs and 9000x shocks w/ remote (it's setup for street.)
Rear diff: Trutrac
Interior has some custom stuff like an overhead consol, 6 channel EGT and AFR.
Bumpers, etc are custom made and will take the abuse and the lights really light up the night.

It's a street truck and even though it's 10years old I like it.


I'm using offset terminology since no one in the tire/wheel world speaks backspacing anymore (none that I've spoken to). It's all dist from centerline. Negative pushes the wheel out.
So, an 18x10 and a -0mm offset would be nearly the same as a 18x8 with a -25mm offset.

These are two sizes that I think would work, but have been unable to find.

I don't care for an unfinished finish (like polished Aluminum) Too much maintenance.
Chrome and some of the two tone and powder coated ones would look nice.
My fav style is the Clawz, but it's not made in an 18.
Pricewise I'm hoping to stay under $1k for the wheels (4)

Actually Bob I would notice.

There is 3 pairs and all are different.
Fogs, legal driving lights and melt the paint off pencils all relayed into the headlights so they come on automatically when they should.

I've had 3 sets of 18" on my 90 and 99. I've had 18X9 and 18X8.5. See if Discounttire.com has any Enkei wheels left. They're good wheels for the right price.

Too funny, discount tire is who I'm dealing with.
I was looking at the Enkie RT6. It's an 18x8.5 w/ 0 offset.
It's not bad looking

and the price is sure right

It's not a wheel they stock though so I'd have to pay the freight both ways.

I had a set of the RT6's 18X9. They don't sell them anymore. I just sold mine with tires about a month ago.

to save money, see if they can drop ship the wheels to you. Those enkei wheels would look good powdercoated

Here's a pic of the overhead consol w/ gauges, switches, and stereo.

Down low where the stereo used to go is an aircraft 6 channel EGT and an Autometer AFR gauge.
On the other side of the steering wheel you can just see the tips of the two Rancho gauges for adjusting the shocks.
Stock SR5 for the rest of the interior.


I'm going to get that Radar Blinder system and put it up in the overhead as well.
