Last week I replaced both front rotors, calipers & pads. I havn't had any problems since then until last night.

I was driving home from work(should of rode the bike) and the front right caliper locked up on me. I luckily had a vice grip in my truck and was able to pinch off the brake line. After playing roadside mechanic, I waited a few minutes and drove my truck away. I was able to get home.

My question is, could it just be a collapsed brake line or could it possibly be the porportion valve.

When i got home, i unclamped the brake line, drove my truck up and down the road and of course it locked up again. So i imediately jacked the truck up and I was NOT able to spin the front tire. But after a couple of minutes the tire began to spin easier. It seems like the brake fluid has no problem getting into the caliper, but it has a hell of a problem escaping.

Check your caliper mount bolts. Assuming the mounts are close to the same design as the 95 trucks... I had mine loosen up within 75 miles after I did some brake work and had IDENTICAL issues. Scared the piss outta me.

Had it towed to my favorite mechanic only to have him laugh and tell me that torque specs exsit for a reason.
The caliper was twisting and grabing the rotor.

Caliper mount bolts were fine. Im thinking I have a collapsed brake line. I dont know what else it could be?
