I can't remember if Old Man Emu (ARB owned) makes a long travel rear shock for the 2nd Gen. But I've had several sets of OME shocks and love them.

I'm with Paul H on this one. I've got Nitros and couldn't be happier. They're cheap too.

Pro Comp ES3000 come in different sizes: 0-1" or 4". You may have gotten the 4" ones and compressed them to hell and 'em blew out.

For $135.99 from 4wheelparts.com, which includes 4 shocks, 1 Steering Stabilizer and shock boots, that isn't a bad price, just make sure you get the right length for your rig.

As for on/off road use, they are soft and work well...and for $135.99 how can you complain?
