Finally installed the Koyo this past weekend, didn't get many pics since I was working on it by myself and covered in coolant/atf. Only pics I took:

Stocker pulled:

Stock vs New KOYO: (stock on right, koyo on left)

Install was super easy, drain, 4 bolts on fan shroud, 4 bolts on radiator, rinse and repeat. I had a small leak in the stock and at 111k figured I'd just replace it, I'll do the tranny cooler next (waiting on BL).

I just repalced mine this past weekend as well. I am not going with the tranny cooler, but rather leave it set up stock. I figure if I get ten years out of this rad before it craps out and lets the fluids mix, I will have done well. You are right, it is a super easy deal. I did plugs and a drain and fill in the same afternoon as well.

Mauzer, did you end up getting the tranny for the manual or auto? Any differences (if you got the manual version)?
How was your experience with Go-part.com?

I got the auto tranny version as suggested by FogRunner so that after I install the external cooler I can use the tranny cooler in the radiator for a camp shower (if I can get it clean enough since its currently being used) and Go-part.com was awesome, super fast shipping and well packaged. I would recommend them.

When you shift over to your external cooler, you can use engine degreaser and flush the tubing out with that. Use the aerosol type made by Gunk, really good stuff. Use the needle tube applicator and squirt that stuff in the tube intake side, flush with water and then use compressed air to help blow out any residual. Just keep doing this until you get nice clean water. You will be golden!
