Need a little help with Deaver leaf pack install on 2002 Tacoma

2002 Tacoma.

For the life of me, I cannot get the bolt out of the rear shackle (connects shackle to leaf spring). I've already removed the nut and washer, lowered the spare tire, removed the bumper, and hammered on that bolt with a sledge hammer. No dice. Should I just torch it off and buy a new one, or is this not supposed to come off?!?

Thanks guys/gals.

I was wondering how you made out with that bolt and how you lifted the front. I am hopefully going to lift soon and was wondering if you could share some insight and or pics on the process you went through. I think i'm going to use donahos on the front and deavers/bilstens in the rear. Thanks for any input you can give.

Have a good one!

I wish I could offer some guidance... no luck. But, how much did you pay for the leaf springs and where did you get them?
thanks

I found out that the outer part of the shackle actually is connected to both the top and bottom bolts. So, you must undo both nuts, then tap out the entire shackle just to remove the leaf pack.

I just finished installing the Deavers (1.5" lift). I'm running stock Bilsteins until the Bilstein 5100s arrive (2 weeks).

I also went with the CAmburg 2.5" coilovers up front. But, I only adjusted them up 1".

So far so good.

I would say this install is about a 5 out of 10 on the difficult scale.

I ordered everything from Wheelers.com.

CAmburg Coilovers 2.5"
Deaver 1.5" 5-leaf spring leaf packs
Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks.

Great service, great company
