need info on 1992 v6 pick up.

I am going to look at one today. It has 150,000 miles on the v6, if this was taken care of how long can i expect the motor to last? Any other info would also be greatly appreciated.

I take it it's a Yota right? If so, that motor will run for a LONG time. Thats pretty good miles for a '92...I have a '95 Runner with 125 on it so...you should be in good shape man.

Not sure if you have gotten the vehicle yet but I have a few things to look at. Drive it and listen for a ticking sound from the drive train. It is the injectors (I've been told) and it is very annoying. I've had to get used to it after puttin about a grand into it trying to get it quiet. Also check to see if there is slop in the shifter. There is a seat and gasket in the shifter that commonly goes out. The truck will pop out of gear at the first hint of torque. Usually when taking off in first of when first accelerating in third. They are cheap (less then $20) and easy to fix but definitely something to mention. I have had a similar vehicle for about four months and have been pretty happy with it. Also, run a CarFax report on it. Ask the dealer for one and if they can't get it for you (if you are even going through a dealer) then go on www.carfax.com and either sign up for a multiple report account or just a one time deal (only 4 bucks between the price of getting one or as many as you want over the course of a month!)

That was the best thing I could have done for my truck! A money saver for sure!

I would just take it to a local mechanic and have him check it out...I did that for all the vehicles test drove before I finally this one...it helps to know what you are getting into!!!

Be sure to test out the 4WD system as well!! Let us know how it goes, good luck man!
