if you have the plastic piece of the dash that has the vent in it (at your knee's) off, you will see where the bolts go that there are clips with the threads over the holes. i would see if you can put a spade type connector under the clips, so it is touching the dash frame. the bolt should hold it in place once installed. otherwise....use the seat retaining bolt at the front of the seat. a little extra wire, but same results.

there should be one behind the driver side kick panel. there is a bolt holding a couple grounds there.

i am not a fan of grounds secured to seat bolts. while convenient, this is not the best way.

best way ive found is to remove some paint off somewhere w/ a drum sander attachment (dremel) and screw down with a self tapping metal screw. the area under the shifter is a good area for this method

thanks all, i got it working, well, at least on! I cant get any transmition through the cb other than turning the squelch back and fourth. when i key up to talk, it comes across my basslink in the back???? i did run the wire along with the amp power and rca but i didnt think it would be a problem. also i have the power right to the battery and ontop of the power wire for the basslink...any suggestions? what channel do the truckers usually operate at?

Ideally, you want to run your RCA patch cords down the opposite side of the vehicle as the power wires. Usually the passenger side is the best because almost all of todays vehicles run the majority of them down the drivers side. Secondly, always try to buy the best RCA cables you can. They offer better shielding capabilities. This should clear up your issues.
