You want to go from a manual to an auto? Most want to go the other way around.

Honestly your best bet is to just sell your truck and buy an auto, autos are easy to find, manuals not so much.

/\ /\ /\ I second the above sentiment.

Sell your complete 5 spd 4Runner through some place like this website, where people might be actively looking for a manual since they're somewhat hard to find.

Then take your pick of the very plentiful automatic 4Runners found everywhere.

We just happened to stumble upon my wife's '96 5 spd, it was in the used car section of the nearby Toyota dealer. Then I had to search for about 4 months to find my '99 Highlander e-locker 5 spd, and even then had to road trip a couple of states away to get it.

I had a hard time finding a 5-speed back in May of 1999. (They stopped altogether in 2001.) The dealer claimed he had no idea what was coming in and to keep checking but that manuals were scarce. I stopped in one day to do this and the carrier drove up while I was talking to the salesman. We went out to see what was there and I bought my truck before the wheels hit the ground. Only 5-speed on there and the exact color I craved (IJM).

Hmm yeah if you are having to ask, it's probably not something you want to do, nor pay to have done. Sell it and buy an auto.

Also you shouldn't post your phone number on the internet. You might get signed up for "cat facts"
