need emergancy help
I have a 88' 4runner.
The rear window was not working. when I disconnect the rear wiper, the rear window works. So I know the relay is working. I also know the switch that tells if the top is off is working. ( I bypassed it and everything worked the same).
So I have deduced that the problem lays in the switch that tells if the rear window is up.
Now my question is, where is this switch/relay? and does anyone know a easy way to bypass it? or anyother ideas on what the problem is?
Hep' me please, its an emergancy.
Thanks

Thanks for the help. That is just what I needed!!!
Now could I bother for another quick answer.
My heater fan on the dash is only working in the "off" position, and on "hi" .
Inother words, I can turn the heater to "high" or "off". I knowq it is not the switch (I already tested that), anyone have another idea what it could be?
Thanks again

It's most likely the resistor. It is located in the passenger side footwell up top on the right side. Right next to the blower fan housing. It's an easy fix and the resistor is readily available at most dealers.

This is why I like this site.
I had a problem, and within 30 minutes, I had the solution. I got a new resistor, and my fan is working perfectly.
Thanks all.
